Our Story

Odonata Craftworks is named for the order of insects that includes dragonflies, my grandmother Carli's favorite animal. She was a teacher, a poet, and an avid gardener who found meaning in small, beautiful things. My grandfather Richard spent his whole life as an engineer and entrepreneur, and he was instrumental in getting this business off the ground before we lost him in 2026.

They were a study in opposites. She brought beauty and intention. He brought structure and practicality. Odonata is my attempt to honor both of those things in the same place.

That's easier said than done, but ten years in packaging taught me a lot about what it actually takes. I watched companies overpromise, scale poorly, and lose interest in their smaller customers once the bigger ones came along. I started Odonata to be the opposite of that.
